Microneedling
The latest beauty trend that has been around for thousands of years!
Origins of microneedling.
Chinese Medical Cosmetology (Mei Rong) dates back to the Qin (221-206 BC) Dynasty. Chinese medical physicians were employed to perform acupuncture and herbal medicine on Empresses and Emperors' concubines to enhance natural radiance, delay signs of aging, and maintain a youthful and lustrous appearance. The types of needles used then were very similar to those of derma rollers (microneedles) today.
How it works.
The process involves gliding a pen affixed with mini-needles to create tiny wounds just below the surface of the skin. These wounds are minuscule and only skin-deep, but your body responds by sending in healing factors that boost skin strength, radiance, and health. The result of this micro-injury is that certain cells called fibroblasts are activated to bring to the area of damage collagen and elastin, much faster than it would during the normal skin rejuvenation cycle.
Collagen induction therapy.
What makes microneedling superior in its effectiveness is the ability to deliver skin regenerating substances like hyaluronic acid and apple stem cells (by 3000%) to the layer of the skin where repair happens: the dermal/epidermal junction. Moisturizers, lotions and oils are only absorbed into the top layer of skin; they never make it to critical level where they are most needed.
